*The Planet Youth approach is based on using data and local knowledge to drive change in the environments that young people are growing up in.
We offer the survey to all 15 year olds in a given school, with the aims of achieving a minimum of 80% participating, under exam conditions. The surveys are completely anonymous at all stages.
The strength of the Planet Youth data is that in achieving this, it represents the views of a significant proportion of teenagers in a local area.
Planet Youth data is hyper local but in this example we are using the combined data from the 4000+ 15 year olds who completed the survey across 24 Planet Youth participating schools to demonstrate how local coalitions might be using their own local data to drive change.
